Two and a half months

Boston is about 2 1/2 months old now! Time is going by fast. But it is crazy to think that Boston has only been in our lives for a short time and yet we can't imagine life without him. We have all been sick with a cold for the last few days, but Boston has been just as smiley and cheerful as ever - even smiling mid-cough. He just melts my heart.

What he is like at 2+ months:

He loves to cuddle! Still :). He has always been a good cuddler. But if he gets in a mood where nothing seems to soothe his fussiness, he just wants some space.

Loves to be part of the party. It is so much fun now! But it does make it hard when we want to stay up, because he doesn't want to miss anything.

Not afraid of bath time anymore, but he does act cautious when we give him a bath. He just holds really still and looks around slowly with his eyes.

Whenever he sees someone he pulls out a huge grin like he is saying "hello!"

He loves when daddy says "do you want to fly?" and holds him up really high above our heads. Boston just stays as stiff as a board and smiles down at us. He is a pro at planking :)

He can almost roll over from his belly to his back, but he gets off balance and he gets a little startled.

He loves when we sing or read to him.

Still a great eater - he eats in all of ten minutes or less usually. And he will take a bottle too. But he does eat often and wakes up a lot at night to eat too... Still waiting for that good nights sleep...

He is losing a bit of his hair from rubbing his head around, but he still has quite a bit of dark hair.

He is long and has long feet too. I waited to try some of his clothes on him because he wasn't chunky enough for them but when I finally tried them, they barely stretched over his long torso! How did I have a tall child I will never know.

Loves to suck on his entire hand. He tries his thumbs, but he sticks them so far in his mouth he gags. So he just sticks with the fist. :)

He has become very vocal and loves to shout out and coo at us and stick out his tongue.

He kind of likes not wearing any clothes - already. Thankfully he is too young to be taking them off!

Beautiful, big brown eyes. :) and dimples on both cheeks when he smiles.

We love this little guy of ours so much!

...And now for the picture overload!...

Christmas holiday

Chandler, Boston, and I had a great Christmas break from work and school. We spent almost 2 weeks in San Diego at my parent's house. My brother, his wife, and their two girls were also there. My younger sister was there too. It was so great to get away from the cold and the routine to spend time with family and do a ton of fun things. I especially loved seeing Boston grow so much on one trip. He started to smile and really interact with us. He also grew out of a few of his outfits. He was pretty great on the drive their and the drive home. Chandler and I couldn't be more grateful for the great time we had.

Here are some of the things we did (not necessarily in order):
Talked with my sister in her mission over Skype. Boston got blessed I my parents' ward. Visited the Takanos before Christmas. Saw the lights in downtown Riverside in the dune buggy. Hot tubbing. Put the tree up. Read 'the littlest angel'. Went to the beach. Watched my brother use his skills from med school. Visited with family at Boston's blessing. Went on a walk. Slept in. Ate a bunch of amazing food (thanks mom and dad!). Went out to eat at Sorrentos. Did a session with Chandler, Douglas, and Kelly at the San Diego Temple. Opened a ton of presents - and felt really blessed because that was unexpected. Laughed a lot. Napped with Boston. Watched a couple of movies. Got massages - it was Chandler's first experience. Boston got spoiled by grandma and grandpa :). I met Chandler's brother Landon for the first time. Visited Chandler's Grammy and Granddad in Irvine and went to their New Year's Eve party. Saw a magician do mind-blowing tricks. Ate at the clubhouse. Played with our nieces. The list could go on forever. It was awesome! ...

It truly was a wonderful vacation and we feel so blessed that we were able to spend it with family.

Here are some pictures, and there are more to come:
